Job Responsibilities
As a Heavy Truck Driver, you will:
- Operate straight or articulated tractor-trailers to transport goods locally and across regions
- Load and unload cargo safely
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
- Monitor and inspect equipment including brakes, tires, lights, and refrigeration systems
- Keep detailed records of fuel consumption, distance travelled, hours of service, and cargo logs
- Use tarps and secure loads for safety
- Maintain communication with central dispatch
- Conduct preventive maintenance and report mechanical issues
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in tractor-trailer driving
- Class 1/1F/A licence with Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
- Able to drive manual transmission
- Valid driver’s licence with clean driving record
- Willing to travel overnight and work long shifts
- Comfortable lifting up to 20 lbs (9 kg)

Job Details
